About the Ebac CD35P

The Ebac CD35P is a small but tough refrigerant dehumidifier built in a steel case for site and hire use. It pulls moisture out of the air and pumps it away through the supplied 7.8 m hose, so there is no tank to empty and it can run day and night.

Set the humidistat to the level you want and the machine switches itself on and off to hold it. Hot gas defrost keeps it working in cold, unheated rooms.

Best for

  • Single rooms after plastering or decorating
  • Cellars, basements and storerooms
  • Small leaks and damp problems
  • Spaces up to about 100 m³

Questions about the Ebac CD35P

Do I need to empty a water tank?+

No. The CD35P has a built-in pump that pushes the water out through a 7.8 m hose to a sink, drain or container.

How big a space will it dry?+

It is rated for spaces up to around 100 m³, roughly one or two average rooms.

Will it work in a cold room?+

Yes, it works from 3°C. Hot gas defrost clears ice from the coils so it keeps extracting in cold conditions.

Is it noisy?+

It runs at around 51 dB(A), which is quiet for a site dehumidifier.

Can I set how dry I want the room?+

Yes. The adjustable humidistat switches the machine on and off to hold the level you set.

Do you deliver and collect?+

Yes. We deliver and collect across Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Somerset and north Dorset, within roughly an hour of Trowbridge. We can set the machine up for you, or drop it off with instructions.

How long can I hire it for?+

By the day or by the week. Weekly hire works out cheaper, and most drying jobs need at least a week. Call us and we will advise how long your job is likely to take.

How much does it cost to hire?+

Call 07971 435221 or send an enquiry and we will give you a price for your dates, including delivery.

Is the machine checked before it goes out?+

Yes. Every machine is checked before each hire.

What if it stops working during the hire?+

Switch it off at the wall and call us. We will talk you through it or swap the machine.

Can you do the drying for me instead?+

Yes. We offer a full structural drying service with moisture readings and a drying report for your insurer. Structural and building drying

Safety information

  • Read the operating instructions supplied with the machine before switching on. If anything is unclear, call us first.
  • Keep the machine upright. If it has been laid on its side during transport, stand it upright for at least 30 minutes before switching on.
  • Plug directly into a suitable, undamaged socket. Do not use damaged leads, and if an extension lead is unavoidable, use a correctly rated one that is fully unwound.
  • Use an RCD-protected supply where possible.
  • Stand the machine on a firm, level surface, away from standing water.
  • Keep the air inlet and outlet clear. Never cover the machine or place anything on top of it while it is running.
  • Route power cables and drain hoses so they are not a trip hazard, and check the hose is not kinked or crushed.
  • Keep children and pets away from the machine.
  • Switch off and unplug before moving, emptying or checking the machine.
  • Indoor use only. Do not use the machine outdoors or expose it to rain.
  • If the machine makes an unusual noise, smells of burning, or stops working, switch it off at the wall and call us on 07971 435221. Do not open the casing or attempt repairs.
  • Where electrics may have been affected by flood water, do not use any sockets until they have been checked by a qualified electrician.

Specific to this unit

  • Run the drain hose to a sink, drain or container. Check the end of the hose is secure so it cannot pull out and flood the floor.
  • Do not kink or block the drain hose while the pump is running.
  • Use the carrying handle and castors to move it. It weighs 26 kg, so lift with care.
