About the Ashbys Ninja 400 psi Carpet Cleaning Machine

The Ninja 400 psi is a professional carpet cleaning machine used by carpet cleaners across the UK. Its 400 psi pump pushes cleaning solution deep into the pile, and the twin vacuum motors pull it back out along with the dirt, which also means shorter drying times.

The pump and vacuum run from a single power lead, so it works in flats and properties with only one socket available. The vacuum is strong enough to run up to 61 m of hose, so the machine can stay downstairs while you clean upstairs. Large 40-litre tanks mean less stopping to refill and empty.

Best for

  • Deep cleaning carpets, rugs and upholstery after a clean-water leak
  • Extracting water from soaked carpets
  • Removing staining and odour once a property is dry
  • End-of-tenancy and commercial carpet cleaning

Questions about the Ashbys Ninja 400 psi Carpet Cleaning Machine

Can I use it to clean carpets after a flood?+

For clean-water leaks, such as a burst pipe, yes. It deep-cleans once the carpet is dry, and it can also extract water from a soaked carpet. Carpets and underlay soaked by sewage or river flood water usually need to be removed and replaced, not cleaned. Call us for free advice before you start.

Does it need two sockets?+

The pump and vacuum run from one lead, so one socket is enough. If the heater is fitted, it runs from a second lead and needs its own socket.

Can I leave the machine downstairs and clean upstairs?+

Yes. The vacuum will run up to 61 m of hose. [CONFIRM hose lengths supplied with the hire.]

How hot does the water get?+

[If the heater is fitted, it is adjustable up to 60°C. – CONFIRM]

Is it heavy?+

It has large stair-climbing rear wheels and a double grab handle. Empty the tanks before moving it and it can be bumped up stairs pram-style.

Do you deliver and collect?+

Yes. We deliver and collect across Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Somerset and north Dorset, within roughly an hour of Trowbridge. We can set the machine up for you, or drop it off with instructions.

How long can I hire it for?+

By the day or by the week. Weekly hire works out cheaper, and most drying jobs need at least a week. Call us and we will advise how long your job is likely to take.

How much does it cost to hire?+

Call 07971 435221 or send an enquiry and we will give you a price for your dates, including delivery.

Is the machine checked before it goes out?+

Yes. Every machine is checked before each hire.

What if it stops working during the hire?+

Switch it off at the wall and call us. We will talk you through it or swap the machine.

Can you do the job for me instead?+

Yes. We handle the whole job, from drying and strip-out through to repairs and reinstatement. Call 07971 435221 to talk it through. Flood damage repairs

Safety information

General safety – tools and cleaning equipment

  • Read the operating instructions supplied before use. If you have not used this type of equipment before, ask us to show you how it works when we deliver it.
  • Wear the right protection for the job: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety boots, and a suitable dust mask wherever dust is created.
  • Check leads, plugs, hoses and blades before each use. Do not use anything that is damaged.
  • Use an RCD-protected supply. On 110V, use a correctly rated site transformer.
  • Keep power leads away from water, blades and moving parts, and route them so they are not a trip hazard.
  • Switch off and unplug (or remove the battery) before changing blades, filters or accessories, and before cleaning or moving the equipment.
  • Flood water can contain sewage and chemicals. Wear gloves, wash your hands after use, and do not eat or drink in the work area.
  • Where electrics may have been affected by flood water, do not use any sockets until they have been checked by a qualified electrician.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • If the equipment makes an unusual noise, smells of burning or stops working, switch it off and call us on 07971 435221. Do not open the casing or attempt repairs.

Specific to this unit

  • If the heater is fitted, plug it into a separate socket from the main lead. Do not run both leads from the same extension.
  • With the heater on, the solution can reach 60°C. Take care with hot water and hose connections.
  • Empty both tanks before moving the machine or taking it up or down stairs. Full tanks hold up to 80 litres of water.
  • Run hoses tidily along the edge of rooms and stairs so they are not a trip hazard.
  • Carpets soaked by sewage or dirty flood water should not be cleaned and reused. Call us for advice first.
