About the Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200

The Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200 is one of the most widely used dehumidifiers in flood restoration, trusted by hire companies and drying professionals. It is compact enough to move around a house but removes up to 55 litres of water a day.

The automatic pump sends water up to 12 m away, including 5 m uphill, so it can drain into a sink, toilet or outside gully and run continuously without anyone emptying it. If the hose becomes blocked, the pump safety cut-out stops it overflowing. The warm, dry air it gives off can be ducted to where it is needed to speed up drying.

Best for

  • Flood and water damage drying
  • Whole floors, or several rooms at once
  • Large commercial spaces
  • Cold properties, as it works down to 1°C

Questions about the Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1200

Can I leave it running while I'm out?+

Yes. It pumps its own water away, and the pump has a safety cut-out if the hose gets blocked, so it is designed to run unattended.

How far can it pump the water?+

Up to 12 m away, including up to 5 m uphill, through the 12.2 m hose supplied.

How much water will it remove?+

Up to 55 litres a day in very wet, warm conditions, and around 28 litres a day at normal room temperature and humidity.

Will it work in a cold, empty house?+

Yes. It works from 1°C, and hot-gas bypass defrost stops ice building up on the coils.

Can it plug into a normal socket?+

[The 230V version plugs into a standard 13A socket. The 110V version needs site power or a transformer. – CONFIRM which version is hired]

Do you deliver and collect?+

Yes. We deliver and collect across Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Somerset and north Dorset, within roughly an hour of Trowbridge. We can set the machine up for you, or drop it off with instructions.

How long can I hire it for?+

By the day or by the week. Weekly hire works out cheaper, and most drying jobs need at least a week. Call us and we will advise how long your job is likely to take.

How much does it cost to hire?+

Call 07971 435221 or send an enquiry and we will give you a price for your dates, including delivery.

Yes. Every machine is checked before each hire.

What if it stops working during the hire?+

Switch it off at the wall and call us. We will talk you through it or swap the machine.

Can you do the drying for me instead?+

Yes. We offer a full structural drying service with moisture readings and a drying report for your insurer. Structural and building drying

Safety information

  • Read the operating instructions supplied with the machine before switching on. If anything is unclear, call us first.
  • Keep the machine upright. If it has been laid on its side during transport, stand it upright for at least 30 minutes before switching on.
  • Plug directly into a suitable, undamaged socket. Do not use damaged leads, and if an extension lead is unavoidable, use a correctly rated one that is fully unwound.
  • Use an RCD-protected supply where possible.
  • Stand the machine on a firm, level surface, away from standing water.
  • Keep the air inlet and outlet clear. Never cover the machine or place anything on top of it while it is running.
  • Route power cables and drain hoses so they are not a trip hazard, and check the hose is not kinked or crushed.
  • Keep children and pets away from the machine.
  • Switch off and unplug before moving, emptying or checking the machine.
  • Indoor use only. Do not use the machine outdoors or expose it to rain.
  • If the machine makes an unusual noise, smells of burning, or stops working, switch it off at the wall and call us on 07971 435221. Do not open the casing or attempt repairs.
  • Where electrics may have been affected by flood water, do not use any sockets until they have been checked by a qualified electrician.

Specific to this unit

  • Run the 12.2 m hose fully uncoiled, with no kinks, and no more than 5 m uphill. Secure the end in the sink, drain or gully.
  • Use the manual pump purge to empty the machine before moving it.
  • On 110V, use a correctly rated site transformer.
  • If it has travelled on its side, stand it upright for 30 minutes before switching on.
  • Weighs 36 kg. Move it on its wheels using the handle.
